Junior Golf

The Optimist Club of Komoka-Kilworth facilitates an annual Junior Golf Tournament for the youth in our community. This event acts as a qualifier into the Southwestern Ontario Optimist District Qualifying Tournament. Past winners include Mike Weir, Matt Hill, Mitch Sutton, Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharpe.

The 2024 Southwestern Ontario Optimist qualifying tournament is Friday, July 12th at the Erie Shores Golf Club in Leamington, ON

A select number of qualifying golfers in each age classification from the Southwestern Ontario District Optimist District Tournament are then eligible to play in the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship held in Florida the following year. Past winners of that event include such notable golfers as Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Ernie Els.
