During the year we carried on with many activities:
– Opened the Community Centre for the Halloween haunted house in October
– Parkview students to “youth in government “in November
– Turkey Bingo at the Community Centre. We also attended a dinner theatre at Appin
– Organized the Children’s “Breakfast with Santa” followed by Club Christmas social
– New park in Kilworth on Stephen Moore drive to be named “Optimist Park”
– TriStar basketball at Parkview school in February
– Ice rink at Kilworth Park and snow blower purchased to clear the snow
– Attended bar at London music theatre on New Years
– Spelling bee held at Parkview in March
– rganized Bicycle Safety rodeo with 70 attending
– Tri-township Canada Day celebrations held in Delaware
– Organized the Community golf at Oxbow Glen golf course followed by BBQ at Gabriels
– Eugene Hathaway honoured with Ontario Volunteer Service award
– Optimist of the year was Sandra Davies

The funding raising activities of the Club included:
-Sponsoring Bingo at the “ Lucky Days” hall in London twice a month
-BBQing at war of 1812 ,Plunkett Car show , Ilderton Auction and Kilworth Garage sale
